Almería low-emission zone (ZBE): rules, labels & fines

Almería's ZBE covers the historic centre and Pescadería. The city council says it took full effect, including the sanction regime, on 1 January 2025 after a one-year moratorium. Vehicles with no DGT label may not enter on working days from 08:00 to 20:00, unless exempt. Unlabelled vehicles registered for vehicle tax in Almería had free access for three years. The ordinance sets a €200 fine.

Notes: The municipal note of 1 Jan 2025 says the ZBE is active in all respects including sanctions, with control first by Local Police (informing drivers) and up to 18 plate-reading cameras. Whether fines are actually being issued was not confirmed (a third-party site claims cameras were not yet working in early 2026). The ordinance PDF on the council site still carries the initial-approval header (Pleno 23 Oct 2023); the BOP publication of the final text was not located.
