Spanish-registered rental cars have a DGT environmental classification like any other Spanish vehicle. You can look it up with the number plate on the DGT website.
What to ask at pick-up
- Which DGT label does the car have?
- If the car has foreign plates: is it registered for the zones in the cities you will visit?
- Who pays a possible fine, and is there an administration fee?
