Terrassa low-emission zone (ZBE): rules, labels & fines
Terrassa's ZBE ordinance has been in force since 20 May 2024; an amended text was published in the Barcelona provincial bulletin (BOP) on 14 November 2025. Vehicles with no DGT label may not enter, drive or park in the zone on working days from 07:00 to 20:00. Sanctions are phased in and depend on the authorisation register and access controls being in place. Press reports the restrictions were suspended on 20 January 2026 after the Gelida rail accident; we found no confirmed reactivation date.

Operational status is unclear: press (May 2025) said fines would start once the Generalitat registry platform was active, and press (10 Mar 2026) says restrictions were suspended on 20 Jan 2026 after the Gelida rail accident and the Generalitat asked for reactivation; no reactivation date was confirmed. terrassa.cat documents sit behind bot protection and were not opened.
